On Monday, March 4th at 7:40 PM the adult victim, a known gang member, was walking Eastbound through the 600 Block of the West Ocean and Walnut Avenue alleyway. As this subject was walking a vehicle approached him. The subjects inside the vehicle began to fire bullets as they approached. One of these bullets struck the victim who was able to flee south through the apartments.
The homicide victim, a 17-year-old female who was babysitting younger siblings and not associated with the known gang member, was outside when the bullets were fired. One of these bullets struck the victim killing her.
The adult male victim, believed to be the target of this shooting, was stabilized by fire and medic personnel and taken to a hospital outside of the city. This investigation is believed to be gang related
