Suspect(s) :
Dandre Kenyon Jordan (27 YOA)
On Wednesday, June 3, 2020 at approximately 11:44 hours, the Lompoc Police Department received a 911-call regarding a domestic violence incident that was occurring at that time at a residence in the 200 block on North C Street.

Officers responded and contacted the victim outside the residence and learned that the suspect, 27 year old Lompoc resident Dandre Kenyon Jordan, was still inside the residence.  Jordan was wanted for in connection of multiple open violent criminal investigations over the past several months.  Through these investigations, information was gathered that indicated Jordan was allegedly in possession of a handgun and had made statements that he would resist arrest if approached by law enforcement officers.  For this reason, a perimeter was set around the residence and officers attempted to call Jordan out of the house without success.  The surrounding residents were contacted and requested to voluntarily evacuate or shelter-in-place for the duration of the incident.

Out of an abundance of caution, the Lompoc Police Department SWAT and Crisis Negotiation Team were deployed, as well as two Santa Barbara Sheriff Office K9 teams.  Negotiators spent the next five hours attempting to call Jordan out of the residence to resolve the incident peacefully.  These efforts included messages from several of Jordan's immediate family members played over a public address system to convince him to surrender.

Several hours after the incident began, chemical munitions were launched into the house in another attempt to persuade Jordan to surrender, but had no effect.  The SWAT team eventually entered the house to locate and arrest Jordan, but he was not immediately located inside.

While searching the residence, it was discovered that the access to the attic space had been opened and the SWAT team again attempted to convince Jordan to climb down out of the attic and surrender by calling out to him.  When this failed, more chemical munitions were deployed, this time into the attic itself and a short time later Jordan alerted officers of his presence and surrendered without further incident a little over five hours after it started.

There were no injuries as a result of the enforcement actions taken and Jordan was eventually booked at the Lompoc Jail for domestic violence and outstanding warrants.

The Lompoc Police Department would like to thank the surrounding neighborhood for their understanding, support and patience throughout this event.
