At the end of April 2019, K-9 Bolt, along with his handler, Officer Delauretis, retired from the Lompoc Police Department. Our department recognizes that having a K-9 Team is an essential asset to our patrol squad to help keep our community safe. Lompoc Police Department was fortunate to receive a private donation from a community member to help faciliate the purchase of our newest K9, Brahms, a 2-year-old German Shepherd. K-9 Officer David Garza will be Brahms' new handler and partner as they begin a 10 week training program. Brahms will be cross-trained in narcotics and patrol procedures.
