A half-million-dollar bail has been set for a 60-year-old man accused of sexually assaulting at least three victims more than three decades ago.
Juan Corona was arraigned in court this morning after Watsonville Police Officers arrested him on the 1100 block of S. Green Valley Road Monday night.
That night, our officers responded to the area following reports of a family disturbance. While on scene, two of the victims stated that Corona had sexually assaulted them while they were teenagers and he was an adult. Corona is not a stranger to both victims. Officers detained Corona at the scene and immediately called in detectives to investigate the claims.
After interviewing the two victims and a witness, Corona was booked into the Santa Cruz County Jail where he’s currently being held.
Our detectives strongly believe there are additional victims in this case. If you have any information about this case (19W-03313), please contact Detective Trevor Ihlen at 831-768-3321.
Corona has been charged for lewd and lascivious acts against a child.
