Lompoc Police Department 107 Civic Center Plaza
Lompoc, California 93436 For Emergencies Dial 9-1-1 Press Release | Press Release Date : | | 12/19/2018 5:00 PM | | Location : | | City of Lompoc | | |
| Summary : | The Lompoc Police Department wants to remind the community to always report emergency incidents by calling 9-1-1.
Police are glad the public has been downloading and using the Lompoc Police Department’s mobile app.
However, a number of emergencies have recently been reported through the mobile app, which is not meant to handle incidents where lives or property are in immediate danger.
Incidents should be reported via phone by calling 9-1-1 to
stop a crime, report a fire or save a life. Doing so will ensure that help is sent as quickly as possible.
If there is something were a life or property may be in danger please call 9-1-1 and do not use the app. While the app is an extremely useful tool for assisting Lompoc PD, it is not appropriate if a quick response from police is needed. Due to technological aspects of the app, responses can be delayed if it is used to report emergencies.
If you wish to remain anonymous when calling 9-1-1 you may do so.
Thank you all for supporting Lompoc PD and please call if you need assistance. 805-736-2341 |
