In the late evening hours on 6-8-2019 Lompoc Police Department detectives received information which assisted in locating Victim Jauth.  Jauth was discovered deceased in the apartment belonging to Melissa Martin her neighbor.  Detectives immediately began to look for Martin and were able to track her into the Buellton/ Santa Ynez area.

On 6-10-2019 Lompoc Police Detectives tracked Melissa Martin to a possible address in Santa Ynez.  Surveillance on the residence was established with the assistance of Santa Barbara County Sheriff's investigators.

At about 4:00 PM Melissa Martin stepped outside of the residence and was taken into custody without incident.  Martin was transported to the Lompoc Police Department where she was booked on the charge of 187(A) PC, Murder.
