Gang member arrested following armed robbery and short foot pursuit

An armed gang member who went into a local grocery store to steal beer and roses was arrested following a short foot pursuit Wednesday night.

Agustin Colin is now facing several charges, including being a felon in possession of a firearm.

The 20-year-old was caught on camera flashing a gun, stealing several cases of beer, roses and then fleeing in a getaway car at about 8:30 p.m.

About two hours later, a sergeant tracked down the getaway car on the 100 block of Grant Street. The sergeant was able to spot Colin immediately because he was still wearing the same clothing from the armed robbery.

As the sergeant approached, Colin started running and ended up tossing a loaded firearm over a fence.

Colin was eventually arrested. Officers were able to recover the weapon used in the armed robbery and some of the stolen items.

We’re still working to find the rest of the people involved in this case.
