The Lompoc Police Department has been receiving inquiries regarding vehicle abatement issues throughout the city. This responsibility falls under the Community Service Officer Position. Both CSO positions are unfilled.
Staff within the department have been taking on this additional duty and over the past three weeks have towed over 30 vehicles and cited approximately 15 others.
The police department will continue to address this issue, as time allows, and hope to have these two positions filled within the next couple of months.
