Lompoc, California 93436 For Emergencies Dial 9-1-1 Press Release | Press Release Date : | | 05/13/2021 1:00 PM | | Location : | | Lompoc, CA. | | The City of Lompoc is releasing audio and video recordings related to the officer involved shooting involving Krys Ruiz, which took place on March 28, 2021, as required by the California Public Records Act (Government Code section 6254(f)(4)).
Materials made available to the public today include an audio recording of a 911 call and four (4) dash camera video recordings retrieved from police vehicles present at this incident. None of the materials released today have been edited, but enhancement software has been applied to improve video clarity.
Viewer discretion is advised, as the materials depict graphic imagery.
The Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office independent investigation and District Attorney’s review into this incident are still ongoing. The City will not comment on this matter until the independent investigation and review have concluded and the final reports have been released by the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office and the District Attorney’s Office. |  |  |  |  |  |  |  |
